You have the option to transfer your Lifetime ISA (LISA) away to a different provider. We aren’t accepting any LISA transfers from other providers into Nutmeg at the moment.
If you want to transfer your Nutmeg LISA to another provider, you’ll need to approach the new LISA provider and request the transfer. You may need to provide the following details:
Current provider name: Nutmeg Saving and Investment Limited
2nd floor - Vox Studios
1–45 Durham Street
Account number: Your Nutmeg account number beginning with ‘NE’. Where to find this.
Please note that your LISA does not have a sort code as it is a stocks and shares product.
Once you’ve requested the transfer, your new provider will work with us to sell your investments within your account and transfer the cash to them. Requesting a transfer this way keeps your LISA subscriptions and the LISA’s start date.
We find this process usually takes between 2-4 weeks to complete.
If your LISA is transferred after we have started to claim the bonus from HMRC but we have not yet received it, we will send the bonus separately once it has been received. We usually submit bonus claims on or shortly after 12th of the month for any LISA payments arriving between the 6th of the previous month and the 5th of that month.
If your LISA transfer is sent before we have submitted the bonus claim but after you have made a payment, your new provider will be responsible for obtaining the bonus for that bonus period. See here for more information about bonus periods.
|If you are experiencing any issues with claiming the government bonus after transferring to your new provider, please ask your new provider to get in touch with us. We may need to work together with them and HMRC to resolve the issue.|
