Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is the largest paediatric centre in the UK. Every day, more than 600 children and young people arrive at GOSH to receive life-changing treatments.
Most are referred from other hospitals throughout the UK and overseas. There are 63 different clinical specialities at GOSH – the UK's largest range of specialist health services for children on one site. Since the hospital opened in 1852, it’s been dedicated to children’s healthcare and finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSH Charity) supports GOSH and its patients by funding four areas:
- Rebuilding and refurbishment
- Child and family support services
- Research into children’s health
- Advanced medical equipment

Are GOSH Nutmeg’s charity partner?
We’ve partnered with GOSH Charity for the launch of the Nutmeg Junior ISA.
At Nutmeg, we believe every child should have the best possible chance to fulfil their potential. It’s why we launched the Nutmeg Junior ISA. It’s also why we’re supporting the fantastic work of GOSH Charity by donating £25 for every new Junior ISA account and matching customers’ donations up to £100.
GOSH Charity’s partnership with Nutmeg Saving and Investment Limited does not infer that any financial product promoted by Nutmeg Saving and Investment Limited will meet your needs and demands. If you have any questions you should seek independent financial advice.
If you want to know more about how those donations will be used, there’s more information on this blog.
What is the partnership with GOSH Charity?
GOSH Charity can receive up to £125 in donations from Nutmeg.
- We’ll donate £25 for every Junior ISA you open or transfer to Nutmeg.
- For every JISA opened there is an option at the end of the process to make a donation to GOSH Charity, which we will match to a maximum of £100.
How will my donation be paid to GOSH Charity?
We do not handle any of the money our customers donate, and any donations are made directly to GOSH Charity. GOSH Charity will receive the donation within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your donation has been received by the charity.
If you’d like to keep up to date on how the donations are being used, please check your marketing preferences in the preference centre. Or you can keep an eye on our blog and social media channels.
How long do I have to leave my money invested to ensure a donation is made?
We haven’t imposed a time limit on how long you need to invest your money with Nutmeg. However, we recommend long-term investing (three or more years) to our customers.
Can my GOSH Charity matched donation count in my Gift Aid?
If you are currently a UK taxpayer and you fill out a Gift Aid declaration when you make a donation, GOSH Charity can claim back 25p for every £1 that you donate.
Once you have completed your Gift Aid declaration it is valid for all gifts in the future, and for any gifts you have made to GOSH Charity in the four years prior to signing the declaration.
However, GOSH Charity cannot claim Gift Aid on payments from companies. This means that Gift Aid cannot be claimed on the Nutmeg matched donation.
As with all investing, your capital is at risk. The value of your Junior ISA can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invest.
To open a Nutmeg JISA, your child must be under the age of 16 and funds cannot be withdrawn until your child turns 18. Tax treatments apply and may be subject to change in the future.
If you are unsure if a Junior ISA is the right choice for you and your child, please seek financial advice.
