You can set up, change or stop monthly payments to your Nutmeg account at any time.
Where to find monthly payments
On the web:
- Under the Payments and Transfers menu at the top after signing in
- In the Options menu on each ISA and General pot
On mobile web:
- Tap the +£ icon in the menu bar at the bottom, then Monthly payments
On the iOS app:
- Tap the Pay in icon at the bottom, then Monthly payments
Making changes to monthly payments
Changing the amount
Tap on a pot, type the new amount and save the changes.
You’ll receive an email that confirms the subscription for the previous amount has been cancelled and an email confirming the setup of a subscription for a new amount.

To change the payment date you need to stop all existing monthly payments and set up a new Direct Debit. When setting up a new Direct Debit you will have the option to choose a new payment date.
Stopping a regular payment
Tap on a pot and, on the web, select Stop payment, or on the iOS app, tap Set to £0 for this pot.
About monthly payments
Each month a single Direct Debit payment is made to your Nutmeg account and, if you have multiple pots, you can choose to split that between the pots however you want. When the money arrives, we'll automatically assign it to the right pots and invest it on our next twice-weekly cycle.
If you make changes close to the next payment date they may only take effect the following month. We suggest making changes at least 5 working days before the next payment date if you need them to happen in time for the next payment.
Monthly payments to a pension pot are managed and set up separately from monthly payments to your ISA or general investing pots. Changes you make to the ISA or general investing Direct Debit amounts will not impact payments to a pension pot. More about pension payments
Lifetime ISA pots don't support monthly payments.
