The minimum investment depends on the type of pot that you have.
For ISA and General Investment pots, the minimum investment is £500 with a £100 monthly contribution, or £5,000 with no monthly contribution.
Why is there a £500 minimum for these pots?
We aim to offer truly diversified portfolios. Investing smaller sums could result in a portfolio which is overly exposed to a particular asset class, making it incompatible with your investment goals.
Why is there a £100 monthly contribution for pots less than £5,000?
Investing is a medium-to-long-term proposition. We have found that investors who make a regular contribution are more likely to commit to their investment over the full timeframe of their goal, and are therefore more likely to reach it.
For Lifetime ISA pots, the minimum is £100.
For Pension pots, the minimum opening investment is £500, regardless of monthly contribution.
